Why did I start FABA Foundation?

The pain and emptiness I felt after losing two friends to suicide is a feeling that I can’t describe to anyone. Knowing that there are so many people, no matter their age, race or gender going through the hurt of being bullied and abused every day. People walking in a world not being noticed or heard, people bullying others because of the hurt and confusion they are dealing with and not having someone to talk to. Not having that person that cares and want to help. People taking their lives for they feel it is the only way out.

Like most children growing up on the cape flats, life was though. I was raised by a single mother and never had father to run to when I was bullied. I was bullied since grade one, I was bullied in many ways. If I wasn’t robbed, then people called me names because of being overweight.

My Story

I went through my school career always striving to be the best I can possibly be. On the sports fields with friends, sometimes in the academic fields. I did realize that the academic field was not my strongest area, and that is why most of my focus was in the sport industry.
