Definition of Bullying

In this section I am going to tell you what the definition is of bullying, what behaviour can be seen as bullying?, why people bully? Signs to look out for when someone is being bullied or bullying others. REMEMBER do not think it cannot happen to you, it CAN no matter what your age, gender or race is.

What is the definition of bullying?

  • Bullying is when someone is repeatedly picked on or treated unfairly, called “unwanted aggressive behaviour or jealousy”.
  • It is usually in the forms of physical, emotional or in social media forms.
  • Bullying can happen anywhere and at any time and to everyone, you name it, it is there, at school, at home, on the sports fields even at work. It can be your teacher, friends, your parents, co-workers or even your boss.
Things that could be considered as bullying?
  • Physically hurting someone, by pushing them around, tripping them or punching them.
  • Damaging, stealing or hiding someone’s
  • Making someone do something that they do not want to do, like a
  • Spreading rumours about someone, or sending them harmful text messages . Emails or
  • Laughing when someone else is being bullied.
  • Assist a bully in teasing someone or bring harm to them in any way.
